Irish Glen of Imaal Annual Show 2009

Our annual show is being held in the Glen of Imaal on the 13 Sept 2009 start time will be 11:00am 

Showing Classes

Puppy Dog (6months – 1 year)               Puppy Bitch (6months – 1 year)

Junior Dog (1 – 2 years)                         Junior Bitch (1 – 2 years)

Open Dog (2+ years)                             Open Bitch (2+ years)

                             Veteran Dog and Bitch

 

Points System

There will be points given to each dog/bitch for each of the classes.  The dog/bitch with the highest score at the end of the day will be the overall winner of the Show.  The points will be awarded on a scale of 1-5 for each class.

To qualify, a dog/bitch must gain points in each of the 5 rings. Showing, Shorework, Weight Pulling, Obedience and Racing (Dog/Bitch racing is one at a time against the clock).

Each dog/bitch will be given 4 attempts at each of the working tests and their fastest time will be taken and recorded for the points.

From Blessington take the N81 to Balltinglass.

Passing Hollywoood Cross Roads Approx 5miles from Hollywood you reach Whitestown Cross Roads. ( Large timberyard on Left ) Take this left ( it is signed for Glen of Imaal )     Straight up hill you come to a crossroads with a shop and Glen bar on right hand side. Carry straight on and take next left. Show ground on right hand side

SHOW EVERYONE HOW PROUD YOU ARE TO OWN A PEDIGREE GLEN OF IMAAL, SHOW HIM AT A IRISH KENNELL CLUB SHOW.

We are hoping our club members will get together and show their glens at an IKC Champion Show in Carlow, come on…you’ll love it and….  so will your dog.

 

The show date is Saturday 19th September, at Carlow hurling club grounds in Carlow. Entries close by post on the 28th August and online midnight 4th September  for further information see www.dogshowentry.ie.  All the information you need is on your dogs IKC reg cert, you have to be named as the owner , so if you need to transfer ownership, do it now,  see reverse of IKC reg cert.  For futher information with regards to showing your dog click here.
